What's it called when you believe you are the only person that really exists?

ethernight: What's it called when you believe you're the only one that really exists?
hutta: Lunacy?
ethernight: There's a specific disorder. Shirly Temple grew up to have it.
hutta: Weird.
ethernight: *looks up Shirly Temple on wikipedia*
ethernight: Huh. Shirly Temple grew up to be a Republican.
hutta: Aah, so that's what it's called.

Yeah, I was incorrect in calling it a disorder.

Are you sure you don't means Shirley MacLaine or however you spell that? She got increasingly batty as time went on and eventually bought into this weird mystical solipsism. Solipsism isn't a "disorder" as such, though it's easy to imagine it could be joined with paranoia, but it's usually just thought of as a philosophical position.

"Are you sure you don't means Shirley MacLaine..."
The first time I ever heard of Solipsism was when I was a kid and my mom defined it for me. She went on to say that Shirly Temple, as a result of growing up a child star where everybody adored her absolutely all the time, grew up to be a solipsist. She said that she was known to disturb her guests at dinner parties by saying things like, "Thank you all for coming... although of course I know you only exist in my head anyway."
After doing a search however, I don't find anything about Shirly Temple being a solipsist, so my mom could have been wrong or I could be remembering incorrectly.
I realize now after looking into it that it's not a disorder. (Although there is solipsism syndrome.)

Awww, my favorite part was when I called it "the disorder of Lincoln."

Yeah, but if I'd included the whole thing it wouldn't be a sample anymore, and I'd have to pay royalties.
